The Belfast Shipping Agent’s Association was established in 1973 and represents the leading Shipping Agents, Ship Brokers and Liner Agents operating in the Port of Belfast, the principal port in Northern Ireland with excellent connections to the rest of Ireland. The Association’s members meet on a regular basis and have regular joint meetings with representatives of the Belfast Harbour Commissioners to help ensure the provision of quality shipping agency services in the Port of Belfast. In addition, the Association meets with other bodies on matters of direct interest to shipping agents operating in the Port of Belfast. The Association is from time to time also consulted by outside parties on matters and issues which concern ships’ agency in the Port. It is also an associate member of the Irish Ship Agents’ Association, member of FONASBA and ECASBA.
